About PlayChart
PlayChart replays real market history one bar at a time so you can practise trading it — and then tells you, trade by trade, what you actually did.
What it is
Pick a market and a date. The chart opens on that day with nothing after it. Candles arrive one at a time, at whatever speed you set, and you trade them against a simulated balance: market, limit and stop orders, with a stop loss and a take profit, sized in lots against real margin and leverage.
When the session ends, the analyzer re-simulates every trade you took and grades it. Not a score out of ten — the specific habit that is costing you money, and what fixing it would have been worth.
Why we built it
A backtest you scroll through is a story you already know the ending of. The eye finds the entry because the move is right there on the screen. What scrolling cannot rehearse is the part that actually loses money: sitting inside the bar, not knowing, and deciding anyway.
So we took the ending away and kept everything else — the spread you pay, the margin you tie up, the stop the market gaps straight through.
How we build it
- Order execution follows MetaTrader semantics: a stop the market jumped over fills at the open of the bar that jumped, a limit or a take profit fills at its own price and never better, and a stop loss wins a tie inside the bar.
- Historical data comes from third-party providers. It is good enough to practise on, and it is not any particular broker’s feed — gaps and oddities exist, and the simulator does not paper over them.
- The free plan is not a trial that runs out. It is there so you can find out whether this is worth paying for before you pay for it.
- We are a small team, and support is answered by the people who write the code.
What we are not
PlayChart is not a broker, an exchange or an investment adviser. No real money moves, and no order you place here reaches a market. Nothing in the app — grades, statistics, suggestions — is financial advice, and a result on historical data predicts nothing. What you do with real money stays yours.

Support ticket
Your account, a payment, or something in the app behaving wrongly. A ticket carries your session details with it, so we can usually see what went wrong without asking you for a screenshot — and you can follow the reply in the app or by email.
Help centre
The things we get asked most, written out once. Often faster than waiting for us.
